I cover Congress, the White House and national politics, currently as an independent reporter for the New York Daily News and other outlets including Kaiser Health News, The Daily Beast, Tarbell, and Now This.

My goal is to explain what is happening in the nation's capital, and to show why it matters and how it affects regular people.

I use all the tools available to modern journalists to gather information -- from data analysis to old-fashioned shoe-leather reporting and observation. I use any method available, from text to video, to tell the tale in the most effective way.

Also wrote investigative pieces that delve deeply into legislation and regulation to explain how it affects regular Americans. Shot, edited and posted hundreds of video pieces with stories.

Covered Congress with an emphasis on Hillary Clinton’s Senate career and presidential run, following her around the country and overseas to break stories about her campaigns and legislative initiatives. Revealed Clinton’s early attempts to shift her Iraq war position, her false claim that she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire, and internal machinations of her 2006 and 2008 campaigns. Also led coverage of Barack Obama’s general election victory, and covered his administration.
